Classes at Typical Tropical are lively, relaxed, and structured. You’ll find lessons across levels, taught by experienced instructors such as Helen, Francisco, Xiomara, Milou, Glen, Sunaina, Martijn, Emma, and Bernard. They also host socials and standout events at notable locations like the Nieuwe Luxor, SS Rotterdam, and Stadspodium, where dancers can practice what they’ve learned and immerse in the Latin community. 

Located in the heart of Rotterdam near Hofplein, Typical Tropical is known for being accessible by public transport and for its popular presence in the local Latin dance scene since the 1990s.
